Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor

As the Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor, reporting to the Director - Newport Operations, you will lead the Maintenance Department from a Zero EHS impact, Zero Failure philosophy and enables the site to maximize its product output and lowest total cost of ownership. You will be responsible for the uptime of plant equipment and assets and oversees facility maintenance in accordance with SIG, regulatory, and industry accepted best-practice standards.

  • Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
  • Ensure all safety issues or concerns are addressed and understood through job safety reviews and permit authorizations
  • Actively supervises the execution of the work order management processes to prioritize work identification, work approval, planning, scheduling, reassigning unscheduled work, executing, and closing out maintenance work orders
  • Ensures execution of the preventative maintenance program and owns Mechanical Integrity program to comply with PSM standards
  • Responsible for time management related to lost time for work orders and departmental overtime
  • Affords assistance with problem-solving and RCA processes that resolve reliability problems and reduce operational risks
  • Owns execution of the turnaround/shutdown process
  • Adheres daily to established standard leader work processes per maintenance playbook including monitoring, measuring and auditing to ensure effective execution of standard work processes
  • Sets clear and concise performance goals aligned with the planning, performance management cycle (PPMC)
  • Ensures all personnel are properly trained to perform duties assigned
  • Satisfy all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Practice Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System
  • Drive a Culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Drives LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence)
  • Grows a culture of continuous improvement (CI) by consistently embedding CI into meetings, trainings, processes, and systems
  • Identifies and leverages best practices for Maintenance work

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical
  • Minimum (3) years of experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Maintenance and Reliability Professional Certification (CMRP) preferred
  • Strong Mechanical Equipment Systems knowledge
