Maintenance Planning Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Manage all maintenance planners in support of the Mahrt Mill
• Provide leadership to the organization in support of equipment and process reliability
• Drive accident prevention and environmental excellence
• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and environmentally
• Participate in and promote continuous improvement
• Optimize SAP and fully utilize system capabilities
• Develop and train mill employees on work management process
• Develop and review work management KPIs to drive efficiency and effectiveness
• Build and track timelines for outages and shutdowns using MS Project
• Lead daily review meetings during plant shutdowns
• Establish Bill of Materials and functional locations for all equipment
• Develop and maintain planning calendar for outages and shutdowns
• Ensure resource scheduling to 120% capacity
• Increase utilization of standard job plans and task lists saved to SAP
• Review and set up spare parts in stores stock
• Plan and execute QA/QC activities into the work schedule
• Own unscheduled maintenance downtime, including root cause failure analysis and solution development
• Coordinate with project engineering for correct spare parts stocking, drawings updates, and data entry into SAP
• Note and plan equipment deficiencies from inspection reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, engineering, or maintenance in a large manufacturing facility, with supervisor or management level experience
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• 5+ years of maintenance planning experience in pulp and paper manufacturing preferred
