About the role
We are partnering with an established manufacturing organization to place a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. This is a 9‑month contract with opportunity for extension.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule maintenance work across operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractor teams.

- Publish a weekly list of approved and planned maintenance work.
- Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness, and compare actual labor, duration, and materials against the plan to improve future planning.
- Review equipment history to spot repeat failures, and raise recurring problems with operations, maintenance, and engineering.
- Partner with maintenance and equipment owners on repair versus replacement decisions.
- Keep the CMMS current to support effective preventive maintenance, and recommend updates to the PM program, equipment design, or inventory practices based on job results.
- Reserve, order, stage, and kit critical parts and materials, and monitor stock levels with inventory control.
- Support goals to increase equipment uptime and reduce breakdown duration and production delays.
Requirements
