About the Role

Plan and prepare work packages for maintenance departments to ensure the Clean Energy Center (CEC) operates safely, reliably, and efficiently, in compliance with the Quality Assurance (QA) manual, company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare work instructions for corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modifications.
• Select, approve, or recommend procurement of materials needed for work package execution.
• Conduct field walkdowns to identify, analyze, and refine maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities.
• Interface with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues.
• Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required for planned work packages.
• Facilitate package preparation by submitting or preparing:
  • Out of Service (OOS) requests
  • Radiation Work Permits (RWPs)
  • Plant barrier impairments
  • Welding/grinding permits
  • Fire impairments
  • Operability impact statements
  • ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) task outs
  • Regulatory/Code documentation
  • Nuclear Oversight (NOS) hold/witness points
  • Freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation
• Verify work instructions comply with CEC procedures, including Nuclear Safeguard Protocols (NSPs), National Strategy for Space Nuclear Power and Propulsion (NSWPs), ASME Code, and 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation.
• Approve and review work packages to ensure safety, high quality, and technical rigor.
• Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendations.
• Provide project management for system planners or contractors in package preparation.
• Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback, craft interface, contract requisition reviews, troubleshooting, EQR2 reviews, Operating Experience (OPEX) searches, Maintenance risk request reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews.
• Perform additional duties as directed, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience OR
• Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience OR
• Associate’s degree with 3 years of related experience OR
• High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
• Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and pass required medical examinations/testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations
• Experience using Asset Suite 9
• Welding experience
