Maintenance Planner/Buyer

About the role

Kemira is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Coagulant Manufacturing facility in Mojave, CA. This position oversees the end-to-end maintenance planning workflow, serves as the site's SAP super-user, and manages procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation spare parts. Also, this position will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Operations team.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Coordinating with operations and engineering teams to minimize downtime
• Managing maintenance records and documentation in SAP
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Sourcing and purchasing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies, spare parts, and specialized contractor services
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• And any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 3 – 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in an industrial environment
• Advanced proficiency in SAP and maintenance management systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to communicate technical and safety concepts in English and Spanish is preferred

Pay

The hourly rate for consideration for this position is $43.27 – $50.48 per hour with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
