About the Role

The Aircraft Maintenance Planner is responsible for monitoring time-controlled items, developing work packages, coordinating with production and maintenance control, and ensuring efficient use of maintenance check intervals while maintaining schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain calendar maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate with Operations/Dispatch to optimize aircraft routing for maintenance check intervals while maintaining schedule flexibility
  • Monitor all time-controlled items to ensure compliance within prescribed limits
  • Coordinate with production supervision to align scheduled work with available manpower
  • Determine routine maintenance requirements and prepare all required documents
  • Match workload for each aircraft to available downtime and station capabilities
  • Monitor, coordinate, and assign deferred maintenance items and issue for correction
  • Plan, forecast, and schedule troubleshooting or terminating actions to close out deferred maintenance items
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (e.g., technical engineering, technical representatives, external vendors) to define Return to Service Criteria
  • Build work packages in computer-based tracking systems in accordance with Maintenance Planning policies and procedures
  • Conduct all tasks safely and efficiently, complying with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Assist in other duties and projects as directed by Maintenance Planning leadership

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work beyond scheduled shift time to accommodate flight operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Able to work independently and proactively
  • Highly motivated, adaptable to a changing work environment, and open to new challenges
  • Must be a team player

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to two years of Aircraft Maintenance Planning experience
  • A&P License
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Previous experience with maintenance planning for 737 NG
  • Experience using AMM, IPC, SRM, CMM, and MPD
  • Experience with computer-based tracking systems

Pay

$29.22 USD per hour (base compensation).

Schedule

4 days on, 4 days off, 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Working Location

Minneapolis, MN.

Work Environment

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is required.

  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
