About the role
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for preparing and continuously improving production-related preventive maintenance plans, analyzing breakdowns, supporting maintenance service delivery, and ensuring proper maintenance and technical performance of machines and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes breakdown causes and preventive actions
- Schedules machine and equipment inspections
- Manages the maintenance plan for specialist inspections, technical cleaning, breakdown interventions, preventive work, control and measurement devices, and elevating devices installed on production lines
- Supports the evaluation of new machines and equipment
- Updates, archives, and maintains completed maintenance documentation
- Supports cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and maintenance cost consolidation
- Contributes to SIS programs and tools
- Leads implementation of AM, PM, QC, FI, WO, and PD pillar standards in assembly using SIS methodology
- Schedules and implements production maintenance activities
- Reviews and generates PM work orders daily and weekly
- Tracks work order status
- Completes daily PM tasks
- Ensures PMs are performed, work orders are closed, time is posted, and corrective work orders are created and completed as required
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Manages and tracks the EWO system
- Drives production maintenance performance toward SIS goals and Policy Deployment objectives
- Takes corrective action when performance gaps are identified
- Provides learning resources to team leaders, team members, and subcontractors
- Uses the SIS process to reduce waste in maintenance activities
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance planning or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Goal-oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
