MAINTENANCE PLANNER $70-$93K (Annual Bonus)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment records in SAP
  • Update equipment records as equipment is installed or uninstalled
  • Maintain equipment attributes, such as ABC, type, and functional location to support repair analysis
  • Maintain equipment catalog profiles to drive part failure data collection on notifications
  • Setup and maintain all predictive and preventative maintenance plans in SAP to maximize equipment reliability
  • Determine the most effective method/tool to conduct preventative and predictive maintenance checks based on how critical equipment is
  • Setup PM plan in SAP for each piece of equipment, including frequency, mechanic tasks, parts needs, tools needed, and safety procedures
  • Generate PM work orders in SAP, from the PM plans for the next 14-28 days
  • Monitor and report if PM work is being completed to maintain equipment reliability, and comply with regulations and audits
  • Schedule and release PM work orders to maintenance crews
  • Seek input from maintenance supervisors to continually improve and adjust PM plans based on equipment and part performance/failure
  • Monitor and analyze SAP part failure data (along with supervisors and maintenance manager) to detect trends (good or bad)
  • Plan and schedule corrective work to maximize crew utilization and effectiveness
  • Review work requests (SAP Notifications), collaborate with requestors, and create Work Orders
  • Plan work, including estimated labor by craft (Mech, Elect, Refrig), and special equipment or permits needed
  • Identify and reserve parts (or create purchase requisitions) for parts and services
  • Supervise the store room clerks in managing maintenance parts inventory, including monitoring stock levels, reorder points, and ensuring timely receipt of parts
  • Collaborate with store room clerks and maintenance team to forecast parts needs based on planned maintenance schedules and historical usage data
  • Generate purchase orders for maintenance parts and external maintenance services, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and evaluating performance
  • Monitor and report on inventory levels, parts usage, and procurement expenditures to support budgeting and cost control efforts
  • Prepare job plans and work order packets for mechanics
  • Maintain a task list library for reuse
  • Interface with operations to validate work priority and equipment availability
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors on the next week’s available hours (crew size) in order to build weekly schedule
  • Select work from backlog and schedule the work to crews (minimizing scheduled overtime)
  • Lead weekly maintenance scheduling meetings
  • Prepare weekly metrics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree or 1-year experience as a maintenance planner or coordinator preferred
  • 1-year experience in SAP preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial maintenance and electrical functions
  • Ability to build and use maintenance library for repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering documents, drawings, and schematics
  • Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data, research parts and analyze repair history detail
  • Thorough working knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Purchasing, and Microsoft Office products
