Maintenance Planner - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules based on preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability strategies, and operational requirements.
• Cook up with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities, including corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
• Allocate resources such as labor, materials, and equipment necessary to execute maintenance plans effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a close eye on work order backlog and prioritize tasks to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to record maintenance activities, track equipment history, and generate reports.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, evaluate performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory management to ensure availability of spare parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams to resolve complex issues and improve maintenance practices.
• Participate in regular meetings and communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on maintenance schedules, progress, and challenges.
• Affirmatively assure that safe work practices and company policies are adhered to at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering & Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.

Requirements

• The employee must regularly sit, stand and walk.
• This position requires frequent use of a computer.
• The Team Member must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The ability to occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds is also required.
• The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only standardization exists is required.
• The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form is required.
• This position must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• The ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision is also required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to extreme cold (-10F in some freezers), extreme heat (over 110F).
• The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.
• This position also requires the employee to spend keyboarding and analyzing information on a computer, one must have the ability to prepare sketches or insert digital pictures into the planning document.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or two years or more of related experience and/or training is required.
• Basic mechanical/electrical/mathematical skills are necessary.

• Proficiency in CMMS software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $X - $Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The Maintenance Planner works a 2nd shift schedule.
