Maintenance Person
About the role
You will be responsible for all repairs and maintenance across our home. You’ll walk the home daily to pro-actively identify any areas that need attention, whilst also conducting regular safety checks on various equipment. You’ll create a maintenance programme for the home alongside our Home Manager and interact with our residents on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting our residents’ dignity at all times.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and address maintenance needs
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment
- Create a maintenance programme with the Home Manager
- Interact with residents daily
Requirements
- Previous experience doing maintenance work in care settings
- Experience at painting and decorating
- Electrical and plumbing skills (beneficial but not essential)
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety, and Food Safety
- Keep up to date and accurate records of all checks and repairs completed and scheduled
