Maintenance / Painter

About the role

The Maintenance I / Painter at San Diego Mission Bay Resort is responsible for ensuring all areas of the resort are maintained to the highest appearance and working condition. Duties include painting, maintaining, and repairing painted, wall-covered, stained, and varnished surfaces, as well as completing daily job assignments and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
• Complete daily job assignments and work orders in a professional and timely manner.
• Have the ability to maintain fast-paced position that will involve prioritization and moving from assignment to assignment as the need presents itself.
• Reply to all Guest maintenance requests in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
• Keep maintenance supplies cataloged, stocked, and orderly.
• Aid other maintenance Team Members with special projects as needed and assigned.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, guest rooms, public areas or equipment as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years painting and wallpaper background, including Tile and Drywall knowledge.
• Knowledge and experience in installing and preparing drywall and plaster surfaces.
• Other skills that will be beneficial in this position: Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry.

Qualifications

This position requires full availability for any morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts.

Pay

The position range is $24.59/hourly.
