Our Maintenance Technician 3 supports Mativ’s Filtration and Advanced Materials Function.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and effective maintenance of the plant in accordance to the requirements of the production schedule.
- Responsible for the preventive maintenance and installation of equipment.
- Ensure an accident-free environment and communicate issues to leadership.
- Use all PPE, and ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
- Attend safety meetings and maintain a clean production area and workshop.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and ability to recognize and correct any weaknesses.
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including mandatory use of eye protection and hearing protection.
- Safe use of an authorized utility knife and completion of necessary housekeeping duties.
- Comply with all OSHA/Company safety requirements and participate actively in workplace safety.
- Notify supervisor of accidents, near misses, or unsafe working conditions.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area to promote a safe work environment.
- Respond with a sense of urgency to problems within the plant and communicate equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Rebuild equipment and assemblies as needed and modify existing equipment as needed.
- Complete required preventive maintenance in a timely manner and communicate any problems or concerns to the appropriate individual.
- Complete tasks involved in the installation and/or removal of equipment in an effective and timely manner.
- Compliant to CgMP Program and assure calibrations are completed.
- In the absence of operation personnel, halt all processes posing a threat to Food Safety and notify supervision.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance.
- Communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and comprehend English.
- Ability to coordinate the activities of the maintenance technician.
- Identify and use basic electrical test equipment (volt, ohm, and amp meter).
- Knowledge of 3 phase power and circuits, DC motors and controls, and AC motors and controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics / ladder logic.
- Knowledge of basic machine mechanics and OSHA regulations.
- Working knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) and PLC’s and basic trouble shooting.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E Safety Requirements.

The shift schedule is 12am-8am.
