Maintenance Multi-Skilled Technician (SDKY) - 1st Shift (M – Th, 7 am – 5 pm)

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties independently with minimal supervision in a timely, proficient, and organized manner.
• Complete projects with minimal guidance, demonstrating proactive behavior to minimize equipment downtime and lost production.
• Improve reliability and uptime of all equipment using a preventive maintenance approach.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical devices in operation; dismantle, examine, repair, and replace defective parts.
• Operate shop machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, and welder.
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot PLC programs and ladder logic.
• Research and source supplies, parts, and tools for new installations or upgrades of electrical cabinets and components (e.g., disconnects, PLCs, motor starters, contactors, timers, relays, fuse blocks, and wiring pathways).
• Install, repair, or modify hydraulic and pneumatic valves, manifolds, solenoids, and associated equipment.
• Inspect circuits and wiring to ensure safety and security.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts and assist in inventory management.
• Fabricate parts using various welding techniques, including stick and MIG.
• Contribute to the upkeep of required documentation such as records, maintenance logs, manuals, drawings, and PM logs.
• Use hand tools and pneumatic tools to modify or repair parts and equipment.
• Operate forklifts and hydraulic working platforms as needed.
• Follow all applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines.
• Complete a minimum of 40 hours of annual company-sponsored skill-based training.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 2-year Electrical Degree or Technical School Degree a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
  • Process improvement
  • Problem-solving techniques
  • PLC troubleshooting and repair
  • Industrial electrical and mechanical repair
  • General industrial facility maintenance
  • Industrial operations
• Demonstrates in-depth job knowledge and skills.
• Able to troubleshoot, solve problems, and determine a course of action.
• Fosters a team environment and influences others within the department.
• Prioritizes work and coordinates with other department supervisors.

Schedule

• 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (Monday - Thursday, standard schedule).
• Overtime may be required on Fridays or Saturdays based on business needs.

Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for the position, subject to change based on market data and other factors.
