Responsibilities
- Work with the team to proactively identify safety issues and take measures to address concerns.
- Actively participate in maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and quality work completion.
- Contribute by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
- Lead and ensure compliance with safety initiatives.
- Utilize predictive and preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
- Efficiently troubleshoot issues to meet volume and quality goals.
- Participate in training processes to build the team's technical skills.
- Identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching and development.
- Achieving and sustain business goals.
- Consistently demonstrate leadership skills as well as positive influence and accomplishments in proactively influencing safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and people development.
- Utilize computer-based programs to prioritize maintenance requests, maintenance inventory management, and maintenance resource delegation.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of four years’ experience in industrial mechanical work.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques and methods, welding, and basic industrial electrical.
- Proven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs and internet skills.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Planning software such as SAP is preferred.
- Ability to learn new skills with attention to detail.
- Lift and/or pull 50lbs.
- Climb ladders, work off of ladders, man lifts or other equipment.
- Willingness to work in various locations and conditions, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
