Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to proactively identify safety issues and take measures to address concerns.
  • Actively participate in maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and quality work completion.
  • Contribute by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Lead and ensure compliance with safety initiatives.
  • Utilize predictive and preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot issues to meet volume and quality goals.
  • Participate in training processes to build the team's technical skills.
  • Identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching and development.
  • Achieving and sustain business goals.
  • Consistently demonstrate leadership skills as well as positive influence and accomplishments in proactively influencing safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and people development.
  • Utilize computer-based programs to prioritize maintenance requests, maintenance inventory management, and maintenance resource delegation.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in industrial mechanical work.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques and methods, welding, and basic industrial electrical.
  • Proven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs and internet skills.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Planning software such as SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new skills with attention to detail.
  • Lift and/or pull 50lbs.
  • Climb ladders, work off of ladders, man lifts or other equipment.
  • Willingness to work in various locations and conditions, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
