Maintenance Mechanic - Whey Plant

About the role

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join the Sunnyside team in our whey plant. The Maintenance Mechanic maintains and repairs all plant equipment, assists with special projects including fabrication and sanitary welding, and ensures reliable operation of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Proven sanitary welding experience
• Proven stainless steel fabrication and welding skills
• Experience maintaining and repairing rotating machinery
• Troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical motors and controls
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers
• Troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Understanding and experience of preventive maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and maintain equipment and records
• Understanding and working knowledge of CMMS systems and work orders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong team player

Requirements

• 3–5 years manufacturing maintenance or related experience
• Formal education in a related field preferred

Pay

$32 to $36 per hour

Schedule
