Maintenance Mechanic Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

TekniPlex Healthcare is a respected business partner specializing in the manufacturing of medical and pharmaceutical packaging. We aim to deliver better patient outcomes by manufacturing products that allow for less invasive procedures, reduced pain, faster healing, and safer drug delivery. We are currently hiring 3rd shift teammates in our Maintenance Department, located in Madison, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair all types of flexographic printing manufacturing equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance
• Work independently and have thorough knowledge of basic shop skills
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projects
• Ensure the work area is clean, following good housekeeping practices
• Adhere to standard safety practices, including wearing personal protective equipment as required
• Follow plant preventative maintenance procedures
• Follow and participate in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines
• Attend and participate in maintenance department, plant, and safety meetings
• Assist in capital improvement projects
• Make repairs in a timely manner, while working under pressure
• Assist other departments with improvement projects
• Complete required forms legibly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ work-related experience in Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical fields
• Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
• Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
• Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, and relays)
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
• The ability to communicate issues while also conveying the solutions as well
• Willingness to extend scheduled shifts for training
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment
