Join Orlando Health as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic in the Facilities & Engineering department. This full-time role ensures our facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure operate safely and efficiently to support exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, power generation, and medical gas systems.
- Inspect, calibrate, adjust, lubricate, repair, and replace equipment components as needed.
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain maintenance records and ensure work complies with established standards and specifications.
- Assist with major equipment repairs, installations, and facility improvement projects.
- Support compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
- Coordinate and document fire and life safety inspections and procedures.
- Train and mentor engineers and general mechanics on equipment and maintenance practices.
- Promote teamwork and collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Security departments.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) years of maintenance mechanic experience in healthcare or a similar environment required.
- Trade or vocational school graduates may qualify with two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility equipment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
