About the role
The Mosaic Company is seeking Maintenance Mechanics to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and follow safety protocols in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Repair machinery and equipment in accordance with previous established job plans
- Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery and equipment
- Perform emergency or “break-in” repairs as needed
- Lubricate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Use hand signals with crane operators, rig for lifts, examine disassembled parts, diagnose root cause failures, operate overhead cranes
- Train and become certified to operate boom trucks, large forklifts, aerial man lifts
- Be vigilant of issues and conditions affecting fellow workers
- Report any issues impacting the environment or safety of employees
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; Associates Degree (Vocational, Millwright, Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Machinist or Welding) training program preferred
- 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an accredited Apprenticeship program required
- Phosphate industry experience preferred
- Basic computer skills needed
- Good organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team
- Able to accept and follow all safety procedures
- Capable of data entry
- Ability to safely move in and through work areas, including climbing stairs, maintaining good balance, being mentally alert, having good visual acuity and safety working at heights
- Able to safely work in and around heavy industrial environment, including moving objects, concentrated chemicals and transport vehicles
- Successfully complete pre-hire exams and ongoing training
Qualifications

Pay
- Class A Maintenance Mechanic: $40.16/hr
- Class B Maintenance Mechanic: $34.75/hr
Schedule
- Rotating shifts and overtime as required
