Maintenance Mechanic - Plumber

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs hot or cold water pipes and makes all necessary connections.
• Drills and taps water and sewer mains and laterals.
• Lays pipe up to six-inch size for water lines.
• Wipes and tests joints.
• Supervises and instructs water meter repairmen into replacement of meters and performs plumbing work incident thereto.
• Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures.
• Performs skilled or semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in a variety of trades as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in related work within the 10 year period immediately prior to filing this application.
• Resident of the city of Boston.

Qualifications

Must have 2 years of experience in related work.

Must be a resident of the city of Boston.
