Maintenance Mechanic- (Part-time)

About the role

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic for its Skilled Nursing Facility in Fountain Hill.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques commonly employed in mechanical & structural maintenance repair & repair work.
• Knowledge of tools, materials & safety precautions of mechanical & structural maintenance & repair work.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles of various sizes, maintenance and construction equipment.
• Ability to determine time, materials, equipment required to complete assigned jobs.
• Ability to instruct & oversee the efforts of other personnel as well as understand & follow oral & written instructions.
• Ability to keep record of activities.
• Ability to lift, carry & maneuver into position of variety of heavy and/or unwieldy tools & materials.
• Ability to work in close proximity to nursing facility patients, families & visitors, if required by work assignment.
• Must have full use of hands, ability to stand for extensive periods, bend, pull, push and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade.
• 2-3 years' experience in equipment & facility maintenance or repair work.
• Any equivalent combination of training & experience which has provided the knowledge, skills & abilities cited above.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of PA.
