Maintenance Mechanic (night shift)

AmerCareRoyal seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, ensuring compliance with company safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on equipment; plan and execute corrective actions to maintain production and quality standards.
• Notify management of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective actions taken, quality issues, or supply needs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance during non-production periods and assist with equipment changeovers.
• Test equipment post-repair, clear jams, and set aside product for inspection or rework.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks, report findings, and take appropriate action.
• Read and interpret blueprints to set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, saws, and presses, producing parts to close tolerances.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical/pneumatic equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mill machines, and machine shop equipment.
• Fabrication and blueprinting skills for part creation and machine maintenance.
• Strong communication skills in English (reading and writing).

Physical Requirements

• Work involves contact with sharp tools, rotating equipment, oil, and lubricants.
• Climbing, crawling, and kneeling around machines for maintenance or repairs.
• Use of hand tools and trade-type tools.
• High mental and visual effort required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
• Prolonged standing and potential overnight or overtime work as needed.
