Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance
• Fabricate and weld parts as needed to support machinery repairs and enhancements
• Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become significant problems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management
• Supervise maintenance staff when required, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems related to the processing line, including logic controllers, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components
• Be comfortable with electrical work while also showing strong mechanical skills

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role (manufacturing or industrial industry strongly preferred)
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
• Leadership skills with the capability to supervise others when necessary
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

• Full-time, hourly (eligible for overtime)
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (shift differential for nights)
• 4 days on, 4 days off rotation
• Approximately 104 overtime hours paid at 1.5× base rate per year with the 4 on/4 off schedule
• In-person at Stewart Glass
