Roseburg also manufactures softwood and hardwood plywood, lumber, LVL, and I-joists. Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and perform precision measurements
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems
- Perform record keeping and documentation using a computer
- Execute routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment
- Perform welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc)
- Install and maintain bearings, couplings, belts, sprockets, and chain drives
- Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform basic metal fabrication and cylinder repair
- Address basic industrial electricity issues
- Follow complex work instructions and safety regulations
- Work in extreme temperatures, navigate catwalks and ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Stable employment history with a minimum of five years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocational/technical school certificate
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call, rotating shifts, and holidays
- Experience with troubleshooting and using a computer for documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Comprehension of complex work instructions and mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
- Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Arc welding
- Personal and total commitment to observe all safety regulations
- Knowledge of bearing installation, coupling, belts, sprockets, and chain drive installations
- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication and cylinder repair
- Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or technical school certificate in a related area
- Past employment experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Knowledge of fire protection systems
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments
- Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
- Excellent skills in root cause analysis
- Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance
