About the role
U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Kitchen Maintenance Mechanic for our Philadelphia, PA location.
Responsibilities
- Operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of all HVAC related mechanical, electrical, control systems (excluding refrigeration cycle), air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and other building mechanical systems.
- Rebuilds pumps, installs mechanical seals, and performs pump alignment; cleans coils in air handling units and convectors to maintain optimum heat exchange.
- Performs gas and arc welding as necessary for repairs and fabrication.
- Assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains chilled and hot water systems.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance duties including filter changes, lubrication, control and performance checks; replaces bearings, motors, and dampers.
- Inspects mechanical/electrical systems, records inspections, and writes reports to supervisors.
- Uses regular and special tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, adjustment gauges, multi‑meters, and lubrication equipment.
- May be required to perform additional or different duties to address business needs and changing practices.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and on ladders or lift equipment over six feet from the ground.
- Valid driver’s license
