Maintenance Mechanic (Journeyperson)

Responsibilities

• Champion Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to Lozier’s success.
• Experience in performing electromechanical repairs, welding, hydraulic troubleshooting and blueprint reading.
• Experience in pneumatics, relay logic and PLC’s.
• Operation of a variety of hand and powered tools including, but not limited to, surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, belt sanders, saws, hoists, clamps, and measuring tools is necessary for this position.
• Constant hand usage.
• Frequent standing and reaching.
• Occasional walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and elevated reaching.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, blue prints and schematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess a good attendance record.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Able to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of handling parts, materials and equipment (including test equipment) as needed.
• Requires little supervision.
• Progression through the steps must be within prescribed time limits, if not the employee will be removed from the Maintenance department and returned to an available position within the highest classification for which he/she is qualified.
• To provide further training, it may be required to transfer employee to another shift regardless of seniority.

Benefits and Compensation

• 2nd shift starting at: $35.10
• 3rd shift starting at: $35.41
• $1,000 bonus after completion of 90 days of employment (subject to taxes), applicable to new hires only.
