Maintenance Mechanic Job
About the role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an individual contributor working in a fast-paced environment performing various duties such as operation and maintenance of plant utilities including boilers, treatment ponds, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors. The successful candidate will safely perform routine maintenance activities on process equipment including pumps, agitators, and valves. Additional duties include the operation of forklifts to move materials and supplies in the plant, maintaining work areas, and reporting accurate inventories and supplies to management for efficient cost control.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant utilities (boilers, treatment ponds, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors).
- Perform routine maintenance on process equipment (pumps, agitators, valves).
- Operate forklifts to move materials and supplies.
- Maintain work areas and report inventories for cost control.
- Complete work orders in the maintenance database system.
- Complete computer-based training.
Requirements
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays in a 24/7 operation.
- Strong work history demonstrating mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and team player.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- 3 years of previous maintenance/mechanical experience in a PSM-regulated environment.
- Safe driving experience with forklift certification.
- One-year certificate from a college, technical school, or equivalent experience and training.
- 3 years of experience working with hazardous and flammable chemicals.

Pay
Starting wage: $43.41 per hour with an annual bonus potential of 4%.
Schedule
Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays in a 24/7 operation.
