Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and grounds to maximize uptime and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance according to the established program.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on production machinery and building systems.
- Execute emergency and proactive repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Replace or repair components on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow all prescribed safety procedures, including LOTO and SDS compliance.
- Inspect completed maintenance work and document results.
- Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and paperwork.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other plant equipment as required.
- Assist in other work areas as directed by the department supervisor.
- Read and follow QWI, schematics, and other work instructions.
- Install and repair facility equipment.
- Train other employees as needed.
- Comply with all plant safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Core competencies in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding/cutting, CNC controls, and equipment service/repair.
- Skill Level III: 2–5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent technical certifications with mechanical experience.
- Preferred: Certified/Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, OSHA 10-hour certification, PLC experience, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in tight or confined spaces.
- Capable of standing for the majority of the day with frequent walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Must be able to read schematics, QWI, and follow detailed instructions.
- Exposure to high noise levels, vibration, temperature extremes, and all weather conditions; proper PPE is required.
- Work environment includes proximity to moving mechanical parts, mobile equipment, and machinery, with potential exposure to oils and lubricants.
- Safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to safety policies, including blue-flag procedures and PPE use.
