About the Role
Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic II, where you will perform both routine and emergency repairs, ensuring the overall upkeep of community systems on our campus. Your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing them with a comfortable and safe place to call home.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, and repairing doors and locks.
- Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
- Assist in maintaining proper levels of material/supplies for assigned neighborhood to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction, or maintenance.
- Working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Current EPA certification to handle refrigerants.
- Capacity to lift 50 pounds; for over 50 pounds, must use a hand truck or assistance, and move light furniture.
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods, including bending, extensive walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, and descending ladders up to 6–8 feet or higher.
- Valid driver’s license if operating community vehicles.
- Effective communication with residents and staff.

Pay
$25.05–$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
