About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and perform minor building repairs. The role involves following corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices, reporting noncompliance, observing all company safety rules, and assisting in enforcement as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility.
• Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing them.
• Ensuring compliance with all corporate policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while conducting work functions.
• Maintaining records of service cycles and other maintenance activities.
• Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by supervisory authority.
• Reporting damages, defects, and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager.
• Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation.
• Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment.
• Performing light building maintenance repairs (e.g., changing bulbs, painting, caulking).
• Conducting daily inventory counts.
• Moving equipment between buildings.
• Following corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and reporting noncompliance when observed.
• Observing all company safety rules and assisting in enforcement as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
