Responsibilities
- Independently performs skilled mechanical repair work in the adjustment, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of machinery and equipment such as water pumps, mechanical laundry equipment, and continuing work assignments in accordance with diagrams.
- Conducts inspection, repair and conducting preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment in tunnels and on tunnels approaches.
- Conducts and reports on structural inspections of tunnels, and viaducts.
- Reads operating manuals, while following the manufacturer's specifications, basic trade practices, and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of work experience in performing the mechanical repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- A valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Legal Authorization To Work - The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Experience and Training - Three (3) years of work experience in performing the mechanical repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
