Maintenance Mechanic / Hazlehurst, MS

About the role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to LCI policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Previous training in preventative maintenance in a production environment.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment quickly, keeping downtime to a minimum.
• Use of basic hand tools and various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
• Knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand assignments, drawings, and schematics of hydraulic and basic electrical systems.
• Perform duties such as welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing and replacing motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, and systems.
• Willingness to further education through outside training, company testing programs, and vendor training.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Two years of general and preventative maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
