What You Will Do
- Performs preventative maintenance duties as required by code or accreditation organizations.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment based off of manufacturers recommendations.
- Performs basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical duties.
- Performs general maintenance duties including, but not limited to:
- Replace ceiling tiles
- Move office equipment such as desks and filing cabinets
- Hang pictures, wall art, ad dispensers, and other items as required
- Replace bulbs, make basic repairs to fixtures, and clean fixtures as needed
- Assemble and repair office furniture
- Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments used in maintenance
- Obtains various supplies, parts, and building materials and delivers to appropriate location as required
- Maintains accurate paper work, records and documentation.
- Willing to be flexible with work schedule to meet the needs of the department and/or patients, including rotational on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Assists Grounds crew with snow and ice removal.
- Participates in department performance improvement activities as assigned and attends required training.
- Demonstrates service excellence and ACE.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
What You Will Need
- General all-around mechanical ability required.
- Two years’ experience general maintenance preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Possesses above-average mechanical abilities.
- Exhibits a basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical with the ability to troubleshoot problems.
- PC skills required.
- Ability to understand, and follow, written and oral instructions.
- Works well independently or as a team member.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy.
- Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
- Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Hospital emergency codes.
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment.
- Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
