Qualifications
- HS Diploma or high school equivalency exam
- 4 years of general maintenance experience, including carpentry, painting, electrical, and mechanical repairs
- Solid mechanical abilities
- Current, valid Driver’s License
- Ability to read and utilize blueprints
- Solid problem solving skills and ability to use sound judgment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic personal computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision, or as part of a team
- Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage, including days that are not normally worked, and at locations not normally assigned
Preferred
- Licensed in one of the following skilled trade areas for the State of Ohio: Electrical, Plumber, HVAC, Mechanic, Carpenter
- Documented completion of a formal apprenticeship program as an Electrician, Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Plumber, Carpenter, or other skilled trade that involves a 4-year apprenticeship program
- Possess a Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel 6040 certificate from The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
- Prior Healthcare industry experience
Physical Requirements
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
- Ability to climb intermittently during the day
- Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds
- Ability to lift 10-40 pounds
- Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
