Troubleshooting and Repair
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems across plant equipment.
- Accurately document all work completed in the daily Individual Shift Report.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels by properly logging parts usage and notifying supervisors of low stock.
- Conduct general building maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Perform electrical repairs on single-phase and three-phase power distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment control wiring and electrical systems.
- Inspect equipment and independently perform corrective actions within the scope of a Class B Maintenance Technician.
- Adhere to safety procedures, GMP standards, and proper repair practices at all times.
- Execute assigned equipment repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks independently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, or 2 years with relevant technical training specific to facility equipment.
- Proficient in single-phase electrical systems and motors.
- Advanced knowledge of three-phase electrical distribution systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and effectively troubleshoot control circuits.
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing instruments (e.g., continuity testers, amp meters, voltage testers).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing complex equipment repairs and adjustments.
- Ability to interpret and apply information from equipment and parts manuals.
- Capable of identifying parts requirements and communicating reorder needs.
- Skilled in performing and documenting preventive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
