Maintenance Mechanic B Role Overview

Oversees and performs repairs on production facility equipment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Performs mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment following written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve issues related to the DC equipment and controls.
  • Understand and troubleshoot any issues related to the electrical phases systems.
  • Perform equipment installation.
  • Records work done on forms provided.
  • Follows OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Identifies parts needed and maintains an inventory of parts in the stockroom.
  • Performs equipment changeovers.
  • Maintain Injection mold lines - high speed.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED and three (3) years industrial maintenance experience.
  • One (1) to three (3) years PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience with electrical – such as Three Phase.
  • Maintenance troubleshooting experience.
  • Three (3) years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience with pneumatics.
  • Experience with Injection Molding - high speed.
  • Knowledge of Fabricating, Electrical, Rigging., Hydraulics, Drying systems, and Husky machine.
  • Experience preferred understanding plastics.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Freshman Troubleshooting Techniques.
  • Good Machine Shop skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
