Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance of fork truck, material handling and custodial equipment, both powered and non-powered.
- Performing general maintenance of facility building and property.
- Following all safety policies and housekeeping guidelines to ensure a neat, clean, efficient and safe work environment (may include possible hazardous material spill cleanup).
- Working closely with engineering groups and outside vendors to assist with fork truck and material handling equipment design and debugging.
- Attending meetings and training as required both internal and external of the plant site.
Qualifications
- Possess a technical degree in a maintenance field OR
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher AND two (2) years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Nice to have:
- Prior experience operating powered lift equipment
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work overtime or holidays as needed
- OSHA 30 Hours Certification
- Possess knowledge of hand and power tools, fabrication principles, basic welding processes, mechanical symbols and nomenclature, mechanical processes and design standards.
- Possess computer skills to manage multiple equipment and projects
- Possess the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
