Maintenance Mechanic
General Purpose
Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in a timely and courteous manner.
Description & Requirements
- Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Repairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, chiller, boiler, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification).
- Troubleshoots and resolves mechanical problems and makes repairs as needed.
- Uses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.
- Maintains the interior and exterior of the building including woodwork and replacing ceiling tiles.
- Supports various recycling programs such as light bulbs, batteries, and metals.
- Operates scissors and forklifts.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to properly use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC motors.
- Training in basic electrical and mechanical safety.
- Basic computer experience.
- Knowledge of the safe use of hand tools and small power tools.
- Ability to pass color vision and color-hue testing.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Safety Expectations
- Participate in safety-related processes.
- Report incidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly.
- Support incident investigations by providing accurate information and cooperating with follow-up actions.
- Contribute to the Return-to-Work (RTW) program.
- Follow established safety procedures, attend required training, and promote a culture of safety.
Pay
The starting rate is $27.91 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
