Maintenance Mechanic

Essential Functions

• Maintain Processing Equipment that Produces Products for Customers: Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatics, Welding Skills, Electrical, Industrial Shop Tools.
• Communicate and Work as a Team Member: Participate in discussions, communicate with employees, assist other team members, communicate adherence to safety standards.
• Work Flexible Schedules: Varying hours as required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to inside environmental conditions.
• Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Exposure to below freezing environments on occasion.
• Subject to noise.
• Subject to cold and wet conditions.

Physical Demands

• Medium Work Exertion: Occasional and frequent movement of objects.
• Walking, moving, climbing, standing, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, using a pallet jack, repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-Time Position: Work 5 days a week, week days and some weekends as required
Expected Hours: 8 Hours a day start time will vary as needed.

Travel

Some Local Travel required.

Required Education and Experience

• Record Keeping, Organizational Skills.
• Vast Knowledge of Fresh and Frozen Product Line, Packaging Requirements.
• Ability to Communicate Verbally and in Written Form.
• Ability to Communicate in English to Adhere to Safety Standards.
• Positive Attitude and Work Well with Others.
• Successful Applicant Expected to Stay in Position for 6 Months.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience Providing Maintenance in Food/Agriculture Setting preferred.
