About the role
Rich’s, a family-owned food company, is dedicated to inspiring possibilities through innovative food solutions. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will ensure the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose all maintenance failures using assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.
- Tune equipment for operation using electrical (VFDs, SCRs, motor starters) and logic (PLC, SLC) principles.
- Apply basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge as needed.
- Work with operating devices such as gages, RTDs, pressure transmitters, I/Ps, and vortex flow meters.
- Train new Associates and team members on required skill sets for Maintenance.
- Maintain work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines.
- Operate Rich’s SCADA system and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by Team Leader.
- Work with and train operations Associates on basic equipment troubleshooting and assist operations as needed with production.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in food processing, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment with highly sophisticated control systems.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operations.
- Desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team.
- Proficiency in Rich’s SCADA system.
- General mechanical knowledge and understanding of electrical and logic principles.
- Basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge.
- Awareness of and ability to follow Associate Safety, GMP, and Food Safety guidelines.
- Understanding of proper machine operating and adjusting procedures.
- Ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement, and Temporary Teams as assigned.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $26.00
