Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will ensure the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose all maintenance failures using assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.
• Tune equipment for operation using electrical (VFDs, SCRs, motor starters) and logic (PLC, SLC) principles.
• Apply basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge as needed.
• Work with operating devices such as gages, RTDs, pressure transmitters, I/Ps, and vortex flow meters.
• Train new Associates and team members on required skill sets for Maintenance.
• Maintain work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines.
• Operate Rich’s SCADA system and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by Team Leader.
• Work with and train operations Associates on basic equipment troubleshooting and assist operations as needed with production.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in food processing, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment with highly sophisticated control systems.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operations.
• Desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team.
• Proficiency in Rich’s SCADA system.
• General mechanical knowledge and understanding of electrical and logic principles.
• Basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge.
• Awareness of and ability to follow Associate Safety, GMP, and Food Safety guidelines.
• Understanding of proper machine operating and adjusting procedures.
• Ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement, and Temporary Teams as assigned.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $26.00
