About the role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and building support systems necessary to the operation of the plant and offices at the facility. You will also communicate preventive maintenance checks, departmental inventory control, diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, and perform various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate preventive maintenance checks
- Communicate departmental inventory control
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties related to cranes/hoists, 3 phase motors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, HVA units, pumps, exhaust fans, etc.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations
- Perform start-up and shut down functions on plant equipment and facilities as required
- Respond to emergency calls on a twenty-four-hour basis
- Resolve site safety issues in a timely manner
- Maintain departmental documentation as required
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Fabrication experience preferred, or similar experience
- Broad based knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing acquired through hands-on training
- Technical degree with a minimum of two (2) years work-related experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Blueprint & schematic knowledge helpful
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work individually and part of a team
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Must be able to wear respiratory protection when required
- Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted
- Potential splash exposure near process lines
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay
Starting at $25-$28/hour with an opportunity for performance/pay review after 90 days and same-day pay.
Schedule
First Shift (500 AM - 300 PM, Monday-Thursday) with occasional overtime and on-call pay.
