Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Maintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments
Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Work on gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
Perform simple machinist skills
Use a variety of hand and power tools
Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or industrial maintenance associates degree with a willingness to grow into the job
- Must take and pass Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
- Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
- Ability to effectively communicate to aid in trouble shooting
- Welding experience, a plus
- Must show initiative and adaptability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
- Experience or desire to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift a plus
- Be willing to work overtime as required to meet company goals
- Track record of staying with a company a minimum of 2 years
- Strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
Skills
Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment
