Maintenance Mechanic
About the role
Nutrien Ag Solutions seeks a skilled individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to ensure the efficient operation of production machines and plant facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment
- Perform repair, troubleshooting, and general maintenance work on various types of pumping systems, compressors, generators, reactors, heat exchangers, filters, and agitators
- Examine parts for defects, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment
- Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled automated systems including actuated valves, pumps, flow meters, scales, and associated interlocks and safety systems
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust equipment
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Perform building and grounds maintenance including lighting, HVAC, masonry, plumbing
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Associates degree in mechanical or industrial maintenance is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in operating processing plant environments such as food processing, chemical processing, or pharmaceuticals
- 2+ years of forklift experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience/training in making repairs on typical chemical processing equipment

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Nutrien is committed to providing fair and competitive compensation based on market conditions and individual performance.
