The Maintenance Mechanic position at Menasha Corporation is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about keeping operations running smoothly. This role is critical in ensuring that production equipment remains operational and in good condition.
Responsibilities
- Completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance
- Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance to correct issues as necessary
- Maintaining productivity and/or quality standards
- Preventing unexpected machine breakdowns
- Communicating with all departments to control downtime
- Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies, conserving resources when able
- Preparing maintenance reports, documenting, and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals
- Understanding how to use measuring equipment
- Ability to breakdown, repair, rebuild, and troubleshoot production machines
- Ability to make simple parts or equipment and tools
- Working in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment, and devices that are required
- Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Performing other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. Ability to effectively work in teams. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles. Basic math, reading, and communication skills. Advanced knowledge of machine operations and mechanical functions. Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently
- Must be able to work in a production and/or warehouse setting
