Division Overview
Crown’s Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for the largest consumer packaging companies in North America. Our distinguished list of clients includes SC Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Unilever. We manufacture total packaging solutions including:
- Closures: We manufacture a variety of decorative food and metal vacuum sealed closures, metal and composite closures, capping systems for glass and plastic container manufacturers.
- Aerosol Packaging: We manufacture cans and ends for manufacturers of personal care, food, household and industrial products. We offer our customers a broad range of products including multiple sizes, color schemes and shaped packaging.
- Promotional and Specialty Packaging: We manufacture a wide array of decorative containers with numerous lid and closure variations.
Job Accountabilities
- Responsible for setting up, adjusting, repairing, overhauling, performing preventive maintenance, quality adjustment checks, and evaluating can line equipment as required to maintain standard quality and quantity production.
- Has primary responsibility for safe mechanical performance of line and standard production output.
- Disassembles, replaces, reassembles, inspects, and maintains assigned machinery and equipment as required.
- Measures and records all can dimensions against specifications.
- Maintains records of production, quality, and other related records as directed.
- Troubleshoots mechanical issues; performs mechanical repairs and maintenance for production equipment.
- Has primary responsibility for safety for all areas of assigned duties.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift between 10 lbs. - 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Mechanical, technical aptitude and experience.
- Passes basic Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude Test.
- Passes basic Minimizer Test.
- Ability to read and utilize micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
- Motivated and prepared to participate in S.P.C. projects and functions.
