Maintenance Mechanic

Essential Functions

• Installation and assembling of new machines and equipment
• Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing machine failures
• Installing replacement parts
• Using power tools and different hand tools to execute assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Follow industry best practices and other safety guidelines
• Controls downtime by informing production works of routine preventative maintenance techniques, monitoring compliance
• Logging performed maintenance work
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
• Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections
• Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes

Skills & Abilities

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Occupational or Vocational training in Electronics, Electrical, HVAC, controls or similar field preferred
• Experience: Experience as Commercial/Industrial service technician or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer Skills: Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
