Maintenance Mechanic

Hourly Rate: $38.20

Responsibilities

• Perform work in machining, welding, carpentry, electrical, pipefitting, and plumbing
• Install and align machinery and equipment
• Operate shop tools and heavy equipment such as lathes, mills, forklifts, and tractors
• Maintain boilers, HVAC systems, and other essential infrastructure
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Complete preventative maintenance and repair tasks in a safe and timely manner
• Collaborate with a diverse team across departments

• Basic understanding of industrial maintenance practices
• Comfortable reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Skilled in operating a variety of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of shop equipment like mills, lathes, and grinders
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Clear communication skills — written and verbal
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Experience with machine troubleshooting and working in high or confined spaces

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed apprenticeship, technical program, or equivalent mechanical experience preferred
• 0–4 years of experience for entry-level roles | 4+ years for senior roles
• Industrial/manufacturing experience is a plus
