About the role

Maintenance Mechanic positions are available in the Weekend Crew, working 6AM - 6PM, rotating weekends. New hires receive 3 weeks of paid vacation plus 12 paid holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components such as pneumatic and hydraulic components, gearboxes, couplings, and power transmission systems.
  • Perform millwright tasks including moving material, equipment, and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding, and rolling.
  • Work with low voltage electrical equipment, replacing and wiring motors, replacing fuses, adjusting micro switches, proximity switches, photo eyes, etc.
  • Implement preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment, material handling equipment, safety devices, and facility utilities according to PM route sheets or equipment manuals.
  • Set up and update PMs on new and existing equipment, ensuring proper frequency and job plans are followed.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED (completed prior to start).
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
  • Associate's degree in an engineering-related field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or industrial maintenance field) is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

  • Additional qualifications that could enhance your chances include:
  • Ability to program controls, knowledge of electrical sensors and field devices, understanding of network systems and communication.

Skills

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques for various mechanical and electrical components.
  • Experience with preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.

Pay & Schedule

  • The starting rate of pay for this position is $32.54 per hour.
  • This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
