Ways you will make a difference

  • Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment.
  • Cleans, lubricates and adjusts guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule.
  • Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders ect.) on our production machinery.
  • Reads blueprints, diagrams, programs / ladder logic and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation.
  • Installs new equipment.
  • Actively seeks to find problems in assignment area and correct before the problem becomes critical with high supervision.
  • Communicates conditions of equipment by completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing his supervisor of significant problems.
  • Displays cooperation by working closely with Production personnel.
  • Improves work related skills by actively pursuing outside schooling or plant provided programs.

Skills that will make you successful

  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Promote teamwork; possess a good attitude, and exhibit flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed.

Experiences that will support your success

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities, as well as a working knowledge of machinery repair practices, shop practices, use of hand and power tools and electrical testing instruments.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Completed Maintenance Certification.
  • Ability to problem solve by adjusting variables in standardized situations.

Compensation

$38.00 per hour plus a .58 cent per hour shift differential.
