Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Full-time hourly (non-exempt) maintenance mechanic role focused on advanced maintenance and repairs of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability in manufacturing processes. This position involves troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery in accordance with diagrams, blueprints, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
• Perform basic to complex routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns in machinery.
• Handle complex mechanical issues and refer more complex problems to higher-level staff.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members as needed.
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fluid dynamic systems.
• Self-sufficiency and ability to complete tasks autonomously.
• Typically requires 5+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work from elevated platforms.

Schedule

2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday).
