Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

About the role

Join our facility maintenance team to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air). You will safely operate power equipment and assist the plant maintenance team with inspections and special events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production, packaging, and processing equipment
• Ensure continuous supply of utilities (heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, air)
• Safely operate power equipment
• Assist with coordination of inspections and special events
• Perform record-keeping entries legibly
• Work in a fast-paced, wet environment
• Occasionally handle cleaning chemicals

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in maintenance
• Boiler experience preferred
• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
• NJ Boiler License preferred
• NJ Refrigeration License preferred
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, criminal checks)
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend for the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others with lifting
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Driver’s license required to operate a company-owned vehicle

Pay

$36.25 per hour

Schedule

2:00 PM – 10:30 PM; off Sunday and Monday
